Everyone has their favorite diner. You know, the one you always go to after a Saturday night of drinking and hang at until closing. Or maybe you go every Sunday after church for brunch or maybe you go nearly every day for their delicious over-easy eggs that no one else can make like them. I like the yolk to pop and drip all over the place so I can have a dipping party with my toast.

I’m all about going to the diner — any day, any time, and especially breakfast for dinner on a cold winter night I don’t feel like cooking. No matter when or what time, the Galaxy is my diner of choice. It’s the local diner everyone goes to — so I’m bound to see a friend or two or ten. And I love the owner Peter. He always takes the time to ask if everything is good or if I need anything else. The waitress is happy to serve as many coffees as my heart desires — and I’m all about refills.

Their motto is simple, “When we say ‘Your Home Away from Home’ we really mean it.” That’s why they’ve been around over 30 years. And that’s why the endless parade of truckers, office workers, senior citizens, students and Main Street America keep on coming and keep on eating – including this fanatic foodie!
